Traditional Dance Team B Wins 2nd Place at Gelantara Competition by the Department of Culture & Tourism

A proud achievement has once again been accomplished by the Traditional Dance Team B of Al Azhar 9 Islamic Junior High School, which successfully won 2nd Place in the Gelantara Traditional Dance Competition 2025 organized by the Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata. This competition brought together dance teams from various schools that showcased the richness of Indonesian culture through traditional dance performances. 

Gelantara 2025 served as a platform for students to express their creativity, teamwork, and appreciation for Indonesia’s cultural arts. During the competition, the traditional dance team from SAl Azhar 9 Islamic Junior High School delivered an impressive performance featuring captivating choreography, synchronized movements, and strong expressions that successfully impressed both the judges and the audience.

Through disciplined practice, solid teamwork, and guidance from their dance extracurricular mentor, the students demonstrated their best performance and achieved 2nd Place in this city-level competition. This achievement proves that students excel not only in academics but also in arts and cultural activities.
